I believe it is the official name of it, although how it got it I dont know. I know there is the city of Olympia right at the base of the penninsula, and the Olympic Nation Park, but I dont know which of the three are named after which of the others - if any of them are.

What a lovely little village!! I just took a tour (courtesy of Google Earth and your GPS co-ords) and would love to visit that part of the world some day! When I come, can we meet under the clock tower of the old church! (I've always wanted to say that! LOL!)
