Feature request (I'll add it to the web site as well). I would like a quick way to get back to the main home screen instead of pushing the "menu" button multiple times. For instance when reading a book to get back to the home page I have to press 3 times (book to book menu to alpha book list to home). I'd rather have this as an option in key bindings over the the games (which I don't play). Thanks. |

I've never seen stuff like "8-9 of 36", but I guess that's because I never read epubs. I'll try to fix it before the 1.0 release, but I guess that'd be some time in couple of weeks. What I wonder is, did that work before, with PRSCustomizer hacks? daffy4u dwanthny Guys, just HOLD menu button. It's a standard feature. |

Thanks for the tip. I never realized that if I held the menu button in that it would take me straight back to the main menu. | |

Firmware version is not supported: 505.1.1.00.18040

Having followed this thread with great interest, I thought I would give the the modification a go as Books By Folder would be very useful. Went though all the steps as shown on the Wiki but have the message "Sorry, this firmware version is not supported: 505.1.1.00.18040" very time. Reworked all the steps several times and tried all the suggestions shown in this thread without success . Obviously I am doing something wrong, suggestions very welcome please. Regards to all |

MySony505 Funny, 505.1.1.00.18040 is pretty much the only supported firmware ^^. Check if you have files.505.1.1.00.18040 folder in the root of your SD card. |

MySony505 Did you use any "hacked" firmwares before? If not, installation process should be very smooth. On SD card you should have the following: files.505.1.1.00.18040 - folder with a number of subfolders bin - folder with "stat_fs" file inside Sony Reader folder with a lot of stuff inside mcopy - file mtools.conf.505 - file new_opt.img - file that you extract from http://prs-plus.googlecode.com/files...ware_1.0RC.zip flash_opt.sh - file make_opt.sh - file libfskLoad.so - file myvm2.xml -file |

Kartu, I finished the installation manual. I'll upload tonight. It's a little more directed at people not messing with root-folders ...hmmm, where the hell is that folder ;-) Do you have any date for me when you plan the release of the final fw1.0, so I can adapt the manual before or at least close to the release? |

Mike_73 It's hard to predict such a date. I am busy for the next 2 weeks, then there will be v1.0RC2 with bug fixes (page index, and screenshot bugs were detected so far) for maybe a week or so. Then 1.0 release should eventually come. But there will be no new features/major changes (at least no public features ) in 1.0 release, that's for sure and neither are there any plans to substantially change install procedure. The only thing: I was thinking about packing new_opt.img in one zip (it would be one step less for user to take) with igorsk's flasher and calling it something like "firmware installer". What do you think? |

Sounds great to me. So far I described that opt_img has to be put where the flasher is on the card and made a screenshot. I assume I can just replace the screenshots I made and delete that one step in the manual. Unless that change happens, I will just upload the procedure as of right now and then upload the optimized one once the change is implemented. Once I uploaded the installation manual, could you check if I have any major flaws in there?
