OK - you write that one and I'll take 'Moby Fang'. Not sure about 'A Tale of Two Werewolves', sounds like a hairy Brokeback Mountain

Nicely volunteered - first draft by next Friday please. I'll sort the marketing and this time next year we'll all be millionaires.

You can find it at fanfiction.net in the Harry Potter section.

Look for the Lupin/Snape pairing.

Here's some real, actual, not made up by me titles I just saw while looking up the ridiculous crapfest of mashups:

Mr. Darcy Vampyre
Queen Victoria Vampire Hunter
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and Zombie Jim
The War of the Worlds Plus Blood, Guts and Zombies
Vampire Darcy's Desire
Mansfield Park and Mummies
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

And I thought the Vampire Romance genre made me want to puke my guts up.

If anybody, anybody at all touches Philip Marlowe I'm going hunting.

I bought Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which was the first of these, but haven't read it yet. I couldn't resist - I loved the cover, and I love Pride and Prejudice. I wouldn't buy the others though, just one willl be enough I think.

Seriously, why? Why would anybody want to write that? Or read it, I mean, reading that has to be the fictional equivalent of brain damage, right?

Some of them aren't even trying. I mean, "Let's just slap 'Vampire Hunter' on to the end!"

Some things are just inexplicable I guess. Similar examples for me are the enduring popularity of such 'appeal to the lowest common denominator' things as:

Katie Price (aka Jordan)
Bruce Forsyth
The Daily Express
The Daily Mail
Pop Idol
X Factor
Any TV programme with the word 'Celebrity' in the title
Any TV programme featuring dancing

Mind you, Dan Brown is really good

I swear now, as almighty Atheismo as my witness, the first writer to slap :Vampire Hunter onto the end of Philip Marlowe will feel my wrath, and also a twenty-five pound antique typewriter upon their noggin.

Down these mean streets a man must go... A man, get that mashup authors, a man. That's how Raymond Chandler saw Philip Marlowe. He didn't see a shufflilng zombie, or a creeping vampire. Nobody was floating down the street, or gliding ghost-like. A man going So just leave it alone!!

actually, in this case i agree with you, although overall i don't care much one way or another about these mashups (i admit i have no desire to read them, although some of the possible inspirations you've mentioned sound intriguing). but then Marlowe is one of my all-time heroes.
