How to have profile photo displayed with posts

Hi,

I've uploaded a photo of myself but how can I get it to show when I make a post? Also, must the file be of the minimum size stated in the profile area or is it automatically shrunk when it is uploaded?

What displays next to your post is your avatar (edit avatar in your CP). The profile picture is for your profile page.
