Kovid, thanks for the reply.
I read between the lines that you have thought about it already and it might just be not worth the effort to implement.
I guess it would be a nice feature to have a flag in the recipes which allows to check for duplicate in the downloaded content.

Did anyone attempted to go around the problem in your custom recipes? Is it possible at all as a post-processing? if it is how would you go about trying to do it?
as i didn't go through the source code (and not plan to as i'm not a programmer, just a code cruncher i have no idea how the fetched articles are stored a data structure hence can't think about what could be used to check for duplicates (maybe the title?)

any idea is very welcome! thanks

lorenzov: I've experimented with removing duplicate articles by comparing the stored URLs. PM me if you want a copy of a sample to look at.

Krittika,

That worked great. Thanks for your help. I'm a little bummed that Amazon can't work out a deal with DMN, but this tool works for me. I hear the DMN will be available on the Sony devices soon.

I can't say enough about how much I appreciate your help and the Calibre tool.

Regards,

Robert Jackson

Thanks for your support Brian. I started creating recipes for calibre out of my own personal need to read various news sites and than it just got out of hand .

In any case I participate much less now since I'm swarmed with my daytime obligations....

sure thing it is darko.miletic@gmail.com

BTW I was thinking on setting up page for donations for another e-book device so that I can test recipes on something else other than PRS-505.

Is there interest to support me in this en-devour?

I have done the star wars recipe for you and it will be included in the next release of calibre. I have also attached the recipe. Doesn't bbc already have a recipe? How is this one you ask for different?
