Kindle 2 PID - I reviewed 5 pages of archive. Please help!
OK, I have a kindle 2 on order, it will be here on Tuesday. I previously used kindlepid.py to detect the PID by inputting the serial number. I understand the kindle 2 serial number is not displayed. How do I get the PID?

The serial number on the K2 is displayed on the 411 page (hit 411 on the keyboard).

MIne is on the back in itty bitty little font, at least to my over 40 eyes it is, you will however need the newist script if you get an internation version which is what they sent me for Christmas here in middle America.

erm, the serial number is displayed in fairly large type on the side of the box it was shipped in just above the words: "ASSEMBLED IN CHINA".

Oh Daffy thanks for that post, no wonder I couldn't get my pid without using Mobidesktop 6.0, I was reading it from the back of my Kindle incorrectly! Much easier to read on the box.

And now you all know why I love my Kindle - I can make the font really big!
