The problem is that too many people soo a new Apple product and rush out to buy it. They don't stop and take a good enough look to see what's wrong with it. They don't wait for the 2nd version to come out that fixes some/all of the problems. I mean really, look at the issue Apple's had with the camera in the iPod Touch.

Forget it, it takes Apple far too long to get their devices to the point they work well enough. And as for the iPod line of devices, I really think Apple is forgetting one fundamental thing with them, THE SOUND. iPods are mediocre for sound quality. It's all the other gizmos and gadgets added on so the fanboys don't realize the sound is not all that wonderful. Heck, my Rio Karma sounds better then the latest iPod Touch. |

But a lot of the time it's also hardware issues. 1st gen iPod Touch has an awful battery (for example) and you cannot have a microphone. So if you wanted say Skype (with voice calls) on your 1st gen iPod touch, forget it. You have to get a 2nd or 3rd gen.

If you don't like Apple products, that's fine; nobody is forcing you to buy them. Personally I like them. |

I tried to give you other companies as example to show you that Apple is not that bad as some people try to portray it. But, it seems that you cannot see beyond the obvious and always try to put Apple in a bad light. So be it!

And completely ignoring the fact that a lot of other products compromise in the hardware and software in the 1st gen of many many products. its not like Apple said the hardware had any of those things so it seems an odd argument to use against apple when everyone else does the same. Its like being against Apple because they want to make money, or that their quality control sometime drop the ball. It happens to everyone so is pretty much pointless keep going on about it. |

My fingers are as Nature made them and no dieting will ever reach Apple UI standard for me. I believe I read an article that stated it was due to limitations in the handling of the display, not my fingers - but it's easy to not care about the distinction when you can't ring a phone number on a phone! But it doesn't stop Apple ![]() Sony use Linux and Adobe ADE in their firmware. Not unique. And the linux is quite installable on different machines (yay for open source!). Try doing *that* with old OS X. (Don't give me Darwin - Darwin is certainly not OS X.) Those were unique Apple issues, but there were more where that came from! More than other manufacturers I am aware of. Last edited by AprilHare; 01-09-2010 at 09:22 AM. |

Apple seems to RUSH a product out to market and then make changes to it afterwards instead of taking the time to add on all the features the first time around. |

Probably according to rumors sites ![]() This thread is amazing. It's turned into an Apple bashing - however objectively the "fanboys" try to argument there is no finding a middle ground with the aPple haters who I shall now call "Billyboys" just for the sake of aggravating them. I'm outta here, rubbing my iPhone all over my body and kneeling in front of my HisJobsNess shrine. |

Hey, wouldn't it be a hoot if come Jan 26th or whenever it is, Apple just rolled out... an iPod Touch with a camera? ![]() Time to close this thread I think, before it just degenerates any further into predictably peurile mudslinging - and no, don't even think about pointing a finger and saying 'he started it'... Pete (who may buy an Apple tablet if it's ever brought to market and if it does what I want, and equally, may not if it doesn't.) |
