Remind me not to read your next publications - I started The Hound of the Baskervilles two night ago and it kept me up for hours, so I don't think I can cope with horror!

I can't see your video in my country, but I still raise you some Rob Zombie!

I now bring you the Song of the Week: Led Zep's Ocean - incredibly good video, awfully catchy song!

(please do not watch Rob Zombie and Led Zep in the same five minutes, you just might get mad)

Although that video was accessed from YouTube, I think it must be hosted on Veno. If so, Veno's servers suck! The video kept stopping to re-buffer. It was like watching a music video in installments. It took seven full minutes to hear a 3 minute and 49 second song.

Love those graphics and the vintage movie clips, however.

Oh, I'm so sorry! I had no problems at all watching it, I noted it was on Vevo but assumed it made no difference! I'll never post such vids ever again!

It may have been a fluke. Perhaps Internet traffic was high. Let's cut 'em some slack—this time!

I saw A.C. in concert in the early 70s. It was a real freak show, all topped off by his being electrocuted on stage (this was before he began hanging himself in the concerts). For an encore, he ripped up a Bible and threw the scraps into the audience. I caught one of those scraps and it contained a curse.

Alice Cooper really knows how to mess with people’s heads.

I’ve always heard that the ultimate irony is that in “real” life he’s a conservative Republican.

Alice was "discovered" by Frank Zappa, playing in a club in California. His performance emptied the club, and Frank decided anyone who could affect people that strongly had something, and signed him to his Bizarre record label.

I got to see brother Frank once also. The only request he took from the audience was for "Louie Louie"—which he promptly played for about 20-30 minutes.

But it was the best performance of "Louie Louie" I ever heard!

I saw Frank with the Mothers of Invention way back when. He'd walk out on stage, say "Hi, pigs!", and spit a mouthful of coffee at the audience, but the music was incredible.

In a way, it was a shame. It seemed that Frank felt the need to disguise his music as comedy, feeling that people just wouldn't get it if he played it straight. At some point, I'd love to hear some old Mother's recordings with just the instrumental tracks and no vocals. I suspect it would be surprising.

Those were the lucky audiences. There were some nights when he'd just blow off the audience altogether and refuse to play.
