Trying to survive at work.

Blew out my lower back on New Years eve morning when we had been out shopping and lifting the food stuff out of the car, something snapped in my lower back, so I've been more or less imobilized for 4 days. But I could not stay home from work since it's end of the fiscalyear for most of our clients and I have to be in lpace to make sure all our systems is behaving.

Work and painkillers aren't a good combo

Well I never cook, but I did go shopping today... unfortunately the shop was closed for the year-end inventory count

Was scanning in the Carnival Capers (and some other stuff) from my cruise. Capers is a little newspaper/flyer they give you every night with the next days activities on it.

Was putting them all into Evernote and ran out of upload space...so I decided to finally pony up for premium. I have been meaning to for a while.

The things that really put me over the edge were...

1. It's cross platform.
2. It syncs multiple PCs and stores everything on "the cloud" so all my notes and scanned documents and receipts are backed up.

Now I got some scanning to do.

Gorging myself on homemade (well, mostly), Hawaiian pizza (ham and pineapple) with homemade buttermilk ranch dressing to dip the crust in (don't knock it til you try it). Then I'm taking the netbook and going to bed with the third Cleo Coyle Coffeehouse mystery. We're supposed to get 7 - 9 inches of snow between today and Friday morning. I don't plan to leave the house til then... LOL!

I'm packing for the CES and currently dealing with Ryleigh's separation anxiety. She woke up 4 times last night because she was worried she wouldn't get to tell me goodbye since we would have to leave for the airport while she was at school. We solved the problem by letting her stay home (I know, I know, but it is only 3rd grade)

I don't know how other parents do this, going on trips without their kids. This is the first time we've done this in almost 25 years of marriage. I really am a wimp!
