I just finished my first Diskworld novel, The Color of Magic. It was my introduction to the wonderful and imaginative writing of Terry Pratchett. (It was to have been my first Nook book, but that's another story.)

A special thank you to all the folks on this board who recommended Pratchett to me in the "Why go on reading in a world without Douglas Adams?" thread.

'Course, soon you'll be starting a "Why go on reading in a world without Terry Pratchett?" thread when his Alzheimer's starts to limit him. Hopefully not in any near term, since he is on anticholinesterase inhibitors, but sadly the future...

I'm reading "Hotter After Midnight" by Cynthia Eden, which I got as a freebie from Sony a while ago. Pretty good so far.

Very sad, that. Alzheimer's is certainly no respecter of persons or talent.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Terry Pratchett, Tom. I'm sure you'll love him more and more with each book. I wish him eternal health, he's one of the brightest minds out there.
