I tried a screen protector but it interfered with the touch screen functionality, so I removed it. I did not notice much difference as far as visibility went & bought it mainly to protect the screen from scratches. |

I got a a matte Lexerd protector after I noticed my PRS600 screen was getting scratched up within a week of use. Small hard grains of dust kept landing on the screen and when the stylus happened to bump into one, it would grind it against the screen and leave a visible scratch line. The scratches were then reflecting light and making it hard to read. I found the protector hid the most prominent existing scratches. It too has developed some scratches in the same manner, but they are much less severe and barely noticeable. The price to pay is a further reduction in readability of the already poorly designed 600 screen, but on balance it's worth not having shiny scratches everywhere.

I have been searching for something to reduce glare and I've probably read about everything out there so far. In the end, the best option is a product made by 3M. The only drawback is that you have to cut it to fit the dimensions of your device, but I don't mind this as long as long as it works. I bought the one with the approx 8'' diagonal and it works FANTASTIC. Glare is gone, and my touch screen capability is unchanged. It's available all throughout North America too! Let me know how you guys like it! Here is a description: Vikuiti ARMR-200 film is a matte anti-reflection film with an easy to clean surface based on a 5mil polyester substrate with a removable and optically clear pressure sensitive adhesive typically used to protect mobile displays such as tablet PCs, PDAs, and MP3 players. I bought these ones for my 600 and to be honest, it didn't really make that much of a difference for the contrast or the glare. It might have made the glare a little less so, but I didn't buy it for glare issues; I bought it to protect from scratches. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_oh_product Hope this helps! |

Here's where I bought it online. Remember, you have to cut it to the right size & you can't buy a single sheet. Comes in a pack of 5: http://www.shop3m.com/98044043150.html |

You wouldn't happen to have a shot or two of the 600 with the 3M film applied?

I, too, got the Lexerd film at amazon; didn't think it helped much, and actually I think it made it harder to read, so I took it off. Maybe I'll look into the 3M film.

Yeah, the anti-glare Lexerd film pretty much has the same surface that the 600/900 already has. You'd need something that cuts down on reflectivity much more than the Lexerd.

The glare did not change. Strange that the glare decreased so tremendous at your side. Can you share some pictures of the difference ? Are there more different versions of the matte screen protector available ? Thanks. | |

I recommend PRS-600BC ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector. It reduces the glare and improves the touch screen resposivity. Price: 17 dollars. People complain that it is expensive, since there is only one anti-glare screen protector in each package. The point is that other less expensive products seem not to work.
