I just saw this and anxiously awaiting to hear more.
At first, I didn't like the Sony at all as I was so used to the font/spacing/page turning on my Kindle. I found that I had to put my Kindle away for a week to give the Sony a fair shake. I also hated the Sony software but that obstacle was quickly removed as I learned to use (and love) Calibre. Although I can now switch back/forth easily, I found the Sony was easier to slide into my handbag without sacrificing screen size/clarity. Having page numbers was a big plus. Likewise, I loved the ability to organize into Collections (although having set up a Jetbook for my mom, my big wish is for a second level of folders). The Sony is now my primary reader. Quote:

![]() I'm just starting Already Dead which I downloaded as ePub but I converted it to LRF. I was having an issue with the font sizes (needed something between M and L), and I wanted to try changing the font. LRF seems to give me what I need. Now S is at the right size for me. That said, I love the collections feature, the dedicated bookmark button and the screen on the 505. The jury is still out on ePub itself. I'm still not quite getting the big deal other than more download options. |

YEA!! I'm glad that was what you were looking for and it worked!
![]() The ePub format is something I am still getting use to. My favorite was the lrf and lrx before the 3.1 library upgrade. ----Have you tried a custom pdf at feedbooks yet?---- I do like that ePub is available at more sites now. What I don't like is that the ePubs don't always look the same, so I'll live with it for now (maybe the 2010 new ADE will help). Hopefully, with ePub being a format used on many devices, publishers will take more time in presenting a better looking ebook for purchase (and no I'm not going to hold my breath on that actually happening ![]() |

You'll be chompin' a long time. Science cannot be rushed. It's a long term experiment (that's the "Grand" part) and the results must be repeatable. Plus I'm only on the 2nd book and still haven't read a naturally occurring ePub (for reasons stated earlier).

Yep. I was seriously considering getting in on the Sony 900 $40 off at Best Buy -- last day today, but I think I'm going to wait...I've got plenty of readers and plenty to read, just need to be patient and see what's around the corner.

Just want to say that PRSPlus is making the 505 much more pleasurable to read. I'm able to tweak in some of the features I miss from my K2. I can now use the joypad for forward and back page turns so I have matching buttons on both sides of the reader (don't like the little buttons). I'm about to add my preferred font as well as % read along page numbers as soon as I figure out how to add them.

I seem to have done something wrong. I used Calibre to convert Already Dead in ePub to LRF with the Fontin font at a base of 12 pts.
The page turns are soooo slooow. I took the book off the SD card and put it in the device memory but it's still slow. Also, it stays at the one font size (which works for me but still...). What did I do wrong? |

Hmmm. I could possibly try it (is that a free book?) if you don't get other responses.
