We bought ourselves a new telly in the post-Xmas sales. We didn't buy anything for Xmas itself, as we don't tend to buy them except for birthdays (or if "Secret Santa" forces us). Mum today gave us some ceramic candle holder and some odd decorative cane box. Nice, but I told her I wanted nothing. The telly's good.

Cheers,
Marc

I got a tie. And an automatic adjustable wrench from my son in law which is exactly like the automatic adjustable wrench that I got two years ago. From my son in law.

Oh, and half of a new pet stain removing carpet shampooer that was purchased in November. SUmkIII got the other half...

I got quite a lot this year, but I think my most prized gift is my Sony PRS-505. After toiling over different devices for the last 4 months, I finally concluded that the 505, though out-of-production and lacking in some of the modern features, was the one I wanted. My wife, much to my amusement, pulled the reader out and put Decks of cards in the box. She got me good with that trick. Anyway, I'm very pleased with it.

I also got some electronics stuff, Ghostbusters, an all-purpose Hard drive connector (SATA/IDE->USB2), candy, some carving chisels, and some gift cards to go out for dinner. It was a good Christmas for me, and I enjoyed giving a lot of gifts this year.

This Christmas my wife was very nice and purchased a fountain pen, ball-point pen, and mechanical pencil from Levenger for my inkwell and pen stand that I purchased earlier this year.

It's funny to me that I do almost all things on the pc. I read most of my novels in ebook format but I still have a love for paper, penmanship, and the human feel of a hand written note.

For my Birthday (Dec. 30th) I received hardback 2 novels: The Living Dead, and My Life As A 10-Year-Old Boy. I look forward to reading them as I am a big zombie fan and also enjoy "The Simpsons".

Try not to get the two mixed up. It gets messy if you do. Whichever way round.

Careful there, you may damage your cynical "bah humbug" image with remarks like that....

Better Half is just the same. Especially with 200+ year books that were held or used by cetain people.

It's the thought that counts.
