So you actually ordered it from Best Buy? When is your due date? My wife gave me the tentative ok to go ahead this morning and get one so I will probably do that this morning. I'm hoping some more of the purchases we made for Christmas will appear in our reward zone though, that will be another $10 or $15 off!

$40 off is good, but I think I still want to see it in person so I'll probably wait til it's available in the stores to play with and compare to my 505.

45 day return will only be for Reward Zone - Silver Members. Best Buy might even classify this as a device that normally has a 15 day return with a 15% restocking fee.

I had already ordered mine from Best Buy at full price. I received notification that it has already shipped and expect it to arrive tomorrow. So I called Best Buy and explained that they were now selling it at a discount and they credited back to me the difference plus the free shipping $47 plus tax savings. NICE! Thank you to whomever pointed this out.

I just called BestBuy for Business. They have a different inventory line. They have them in stock right now for $399. Don't know whether they ship for free though.

Yep, different inventory line - I just got the "We're sorry your item is backordered" email. It says 1 to 2 weeks, I'm hoping it is sooner than that though. Has anyone actually received one from Best Buy and how long did it take?

BB price matched it.

I ordered mine early December at Best Buy, but still don't have it. We were told we should have it by the 18th, then the 21st, then the 24th, and on the 25th we got an Email stating it could take another 1 to 2 weeks it would be shipped. Last Monday we were told it had shipped, but won't be here until Jan. 5 '10.
That is also the day I found out about the sale at BB, so I called them. When I told them I would cancel the order all together due to the fact that we were told over and over again it would be there before Xmas, they finally price matched it.
They still refused to do anything to expedite the shipping of the device, so I guess I just have to wait ....

Sony Style $40 credit

For those who were not able to get the $40 credit through Sony Style - Call 18772449959. I was originially told they could not give me the credit because it was purchased over a month ago.. I called back and asked for a supervisor and reminded them that the device was not shipped until 12/23. I was then offered the sales price.

Working with the same customer service rep, I was also able to get the $40 credit for the one I purchased last month and received 12/28 and the one I have on order. Took a while (45 min) because they had to verify the Best Buy price and the date that I actually received the device but I was issued the credits.

I ordered my 900 on December 27. Today I received an email from Best Buy confirming that the 900 is backordered, and that, "We apologize for the inconvenience. If we do not hear from you before we ship your item, we will assume that you accept this delay."
