Ooh have fun! I can't wait to read Pillars of the Earth myself.

I'm just about done with it (as in finished, not giving up). It's cute enough, but I'm having a hard time following the characters and they aren't usually the kind I go for in a murder mystery (they all have very in-your-face tactics). The food mentioned in the book is making me hungry though.

That's a snag I've hit since I got my first reader early this year, Phenomshel. It's so easy to skip to another title when the book you're reading shifts into a slow gear for a while. I try hard to resist the temptation but I still often find myself reading three or four books simultaneously. Must stop that! Neil

I think I'll stick with the Bolos and read the last collection that I haven't read. Bolos IV: Last Stand, also recently re-released.

I know what you mean, I find myself doing the same thing. The problem is that I start off reading 2 or 3 books at the same time, and then that snowballs into 5, 6...

I'm currently re-reading 1984 and The Count of Monte Cristo. I am reading Sookie Stackhouse #6 (I can never remember the titles of books that are part of a series) and The Lord of Light (Zelazny) (in P-book format) as well as "Teach yourself Sanskrit" and several books for school. I am overwhelmed, and should start to pare this list down...

I just started Gregg Hurwitz' Troubleshooter. It's the 3rd in a series. These books have kept me awake at night reading! Read The Kill Clause first, then The Program before reading Troubleshooter. Great thrillers (the first two I would rate 5 stars) that I found at the NYPL website. I've discovered so many new (to me) authors since subscribing to the NYPL, I'll be so sorry when my subscription expires.

Well, that's the last time I 'complete a series' from Fictionwise! I did this earlier in the year with a too good to pass up sale and I have six books left to read in a series I am no longer enjoying. I began last night just slogging through to finish them, but you know what, I have better things to do! I do try and read the books I pay for, but I am just going to chalk these ones up as a mistake and stop reading them.

Still trying to finish "Tomorrow". I really want to shake the narrator sometimes and tell her to get to the frigging point, will ya? I have my eye on that progress bar but I'm still cautiously hopeful that I can manage to finish it. I have a long train ride coming tomorrow and another the next day

Which was also a fun, quick read. Although I think the characterisation of the commanding officer was a bit weak.

Another change of pace now, and I'll catch up with what's been happening on Pern. I have the most recent four novels to read, starting with "Dragonsblood".

May I ask which series?

Found an old Silverberg book that I missed somehow, To Open the Sky. It has spunky martians!

I just started "Half Broke Horses" by Jeannette Walls. I got the hardcover as a gift, but am reading the ebook. I'm just a few pages in but am liking it already. It's kind of like "Little House on the Prairie," but in Texas in the 1930s.
