Thanks pholy, I may give that recipe a try. VR may be interested too. Can't quite concentrate on food at the moment, I seem to have been eating non-stop for about 5 days.

Lol, its placeholder text, for some confound reason. It's more like a religious manuscript of some sort.

"Lorem ipsum" is pseudo-Latin nonsense text, widely used by graphic designers. You can put a block of it with the appropriate word count in a text box, to see what the text will look like, and whether it will fit, in various fonts and sizes. It has similar average word length to English, so if your lorem ipsum block fits and looks okay, it's probable that the real copy will too, when you finally get it... (Deadlines? We don't need no steenking deadlines!)

Running Windows, with no currently updated anti-virus software installed, and clicking on attachments sent in email from random strangers is a likely candidate.

It's one reason I use GMail as my primary account. Messages and attachments are stored on Google's servers. Messages are read on line. Attachments aren't downloaded unless I know what they are, and GMail won't accept atttachments with things that might be executable in them, even wrapped in a Zip file.

The "no executables" dictum is a pain, as GMail doesn't document what it thinks is executable. I had a zip file full of HTML code and images to replicate a web site bounced. Ah, well. The Yahoo account can be used for that, and meanwhile, the rest of GMail is dandy.

An old friend of mine did something similar to lorem ipsum a years back. A mutual friend was publishing a volume of The Necronomicon mentioned in H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulu mythos stories. (Reading the volume was reported to drive the reader mad.)

He actually intended to print two copies, because he wanted to get a card for it into the card catalog of the Library of Congress, which required a fee and two copies of the book to add it. When he found out what it would cost to do two, he decided to do enough to sell and recoup his costs.

My friend was a designer. He used a letter frequency table to come up with phrases of nonsense words, then set the text in a Syriac alphabet. The result was something that, if you translated the Syriac characters to the Roman alphabet, could be read and would sound like an invocation of Cthulu.

L. Sprague de Camp contributed a scholarly introduction, and the result was sold as a hard bound facsimile edition of the original Necronomicon. IIRC, the edition sold out.

Sitting here in an empty office and being useless. They sent me to The Netherlands again but it turns out nobody needs me here or has time for me. Oh well, it's their money. I am so glad this contract will be over in 2 days

Listening to Black Stone Cherry's Peace is free (for the 10th time or so today) while coding on Textaurare. Wondering if i will buy a used Gen 3 to test Bookeens latest FW. Still recovering from pneumonia. The bad is: cigarettes still don't taste near as good as they used to; the good is: At least i can smoke again without suffocating. Bad habits never die...
