A safe trip to and from my parents', and 3 days of exactly ZERO responsibility, which I get to share with my one and only.

The real fun doesn't start until tax-time...it's great being a college student.

"I got a rock." -Charlie Brown

Okay, I didn't do that bad, but I only got a few little things for Xmas. But that's because my wife and I went to Aruba for a pre-Xmas vacation (the unfortunate results of which can still be found in this site somewhere... I'm hoping you don't look), and we agreed that that was our holiday gift this year.

My wife got me an EZReader Pocket Pro. I also got a 650 GB external hard drive from my Dad and blanket from my Mom. My cats ended up getting quite a few presents. They ended up with more than me and my wife combined. There are little fake mice everywhere.

I got a CD set of the BBC's Lord of the Rings radio adaption. Also a couple of gardening books (paper) and some gardening supplies.

My wife got a DVD she's been looking for for quite a while, and a walking foot for her Bernina sewing machine.

The kids got lots of nice goodies, but their joint present was an old imac G3 set up with Mac OS 9 and all their old favourite Mac OS 9 games that won't work on their new Intel Macs.

I have a 1260, and my walking foot just gave up the ghost a week ago. I've had it since 1997, so its lived a long and fruitful life.

My local Bernina dealer wants $165 for a new one. Its something I cannot quilt without, but i"m still gagging......between that, the new fridge, the two new front tires, (somehow one got slashed and my husband tells me you can't buy just one) the computer re-do,.......and oh yes, Christmas........it will wait for a bit.

But not much longer.........

Nope, sorry if I seemed like I was whining.......I really wasn't.

I just thought it was interesting that someone else needed a walking foot for her Bernina........something you don't come across here often!
