Nap over. Hey, with postgrad and 50 hours a week, I'm entitled once or twice a year...

Anyway, rebuilding the LFS for my site seems arduous because I had everything done up to glibc and was writing the piece as I went along. It all vanished to the Nexus or somesuch when I was backing up and I dread having to start over. I've already put up part one of the series here, having everyone install a nice clean copy of ArchLinux for a build environment and can't just leave everyone hanging.

I surprisingly enjoy Glee more than I expected. But, mostly for the musical part not the stupid teen angst parts.

Yeah, the teen angst part sometimes borders on farce. But I love the music.

Stupid teen angst = redundant.

But yeah, I saw the YouTube of the flash-mob in Rome dancing to the Glee soundtrack...it has quite the following.

I on the other hand have decided to remake the Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie, with a cast which does not include Peter Frampton or the Bee-Gees

I know, it's Christmas Day, and the general wisdom is "enjoy gifts and do as little as possible". Well, my own personal mantra this year is: "I have three days off, no school, no work, time to clean house!" To that end, the dishes are all done, the dining room cleaned, the laundry started, the bed stripped (except for the comforter that the Calico is wrapped in, I don't have the heart to move her). But I had to sit down and take a break, my asthma is demanding it (it's been acting up due to that nasty cold). Believe it or not, except for the asthma part, I'm having a great time. I have my BlackBerry in music mode with headphones on and both Glee soundtracks cued up and am just bopping around having fun. So now y'all all know just how odd I really am .

Thanks to Shannon, I am now a Glee lover! I could definitely do without the melodrama/soap opera back stories but I love the music enough to keep on watching. I was involved in the theater and musicals in high school so it reminds me of the fun we used to have, especially when our director was busy elsewhere! The kids have downloaded the whole season (and the soundtracks) from iTunes but I will probably buy the DVD set when it comes out on the 29th.

@Shel ~ I'm glad you're feeling better but don't over do it! You don't want to have a relapse.

Ok... does anyone know if the cast actually sings...? or is it all lip syncing? It seems to be the later because in different songs they seem to have different singing voices.

According to Wikipedia, the cast members are actually the ones singing.
