I have no idea. I've never uploaded this much data before. It's not really a big deal since it's a one time deal (hopefully) then I go to incremental back-ups.

I'm now 86% complete. 26.7GB backed up and 4.2 GB to go (I have more to add though, from my newly created partitions).

No, you're right. I bought a NAS box to back up my PCs with. Now I worry about how to back up the NAS .

I've heard of mirroring the drives... how big a mirror do I need? For a small backup, can I just use a compact mirror? If I use a magnifying mirror, does it make the backups faster or just compress the data so it looks like there's more room?
