I've heard of mirroring the drives... how big a mirror do I need? For a small backup, can I just use a compact mirror? If I use a magnifying mirror, does it make the backups faster or just compress the data so it looks like there's more room?

And how do you read those mirrored drives anyway? Doesn't everything come out backwards?
