Hi I'm new at the forums but been reading a lot recently. My sister have bought an onyx and we have been able to install a dictionary. the format is stardict:stardictionaries and to install it we simply put the dictionaries in the dict folder of the sd card and the run the update. Two mayor issues: The boox don't recognize html wich is present in the dictionaries; The search is a little bit slow and sometimes the screen keeps refreshing several times.

The great thing is that you can change the dictionary you are using without unselecting the word.

Short workaround. I used Google docs to create a pdf I titled "My Notes" then i moved it to the books. when ever i want to make a note about something i open that and write it down. Im thinking about making another called doodles....

Would that be the 399 price or the 449 price?

This Boox looks very interesting. If you were buying today would you buy it or consider the Nook or another device....also I cannot find where the Onyx device is sold. Do you know where I can purchase it?

I can compare it ony with eClicto reader.
Reading confort is similar but ONYX have much more features. More font sizes, you can use your own font in ttf format, wi-fi, sketch notes, dictionary and better look. I'm using it few days and I had no any problems. I've added other dictionary, tested many files, books, comixes, pictures and it didnt crash.

Nice deal

Dear forum members,

After reading a while, I subscribed myself as a forum member. After a lot of research I bought the Boox. I found out on many websites that its rather expensive (around 400 euro). But I bought it at a Dutch webshop called Librisnova. They sell the Boox for 299 euro. I live in Germany and within 2 days I received my boox. I thought I would let you know this....

Ciao Luke

Be careful because there are two Boox versions: one with Touch and Wifi and other without them.
