I suppose a simple way to see if there's any real difference in usage of these two is to Google both for images and compare. The number one hit in either case is likely to be Madam B.'s latest avatar suggestion for Zelda: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...postcount=1985. I'm gonna try that ammonia now.

I did the google image search.. and while several of the pics where very nice indeed... some require that I wash my eyes out with sulfuric acid.

Erm.... and I'm still not sure. I am going to say that butt naked is a subset of buck naked and leave it at that.

Now, back to the serious topic of this thread.

My Pocketbook 360 arrived tonight But I probably won't have much time to test it, as I am leaving tomorrow morning for the family Christmas at my parents' house. So right now I'm enjoying the tranquility of my home while I can

this is a classic example of why i love machine translations so much. you know, i can't even actually tell what it was i originally said from that.

Aw! Hang on, Christmas is just around the corner. Hopefully we can all return to a normal life after that. Or is that the problem?

Just got back from the pediatrician's. Ryleigh has strep throat. I guess that was just one more reason why it was a good thing that the weather kept us from going to Florida. Thankfully, they put her on antibiotics right away so she should be feeling much better in about 24 hours. We were planning to go to Busch Garden Williamsburg's Christmas Town to make up for not going to Florida and the doctor told us she should be good to go on Christmas Eve. Ryleigh has been really good about accepting all of the changes lately so I'm glad we can still do this. We even get to have dinner with Santa!

Arghhhhhh.....
I hope you are feeling better, and kudos to you for not exposing others to your illness, even if it is just a cold. When my husband was so weak from his treatments, we had to actually ask people not to visit if they had even a sign of a cold. But........I understand your sadness at missing Christmas Eve with your family.

So yesterday I exchanged my Eurostar ticket for a train to Calais, then decided to aim for a ferry. Quite a few other people had the same idea, though there were rumours that all the ferries were full. The train broke down at Arras, where we spent an hour looking at a snowy field. But the French engineers managed to repair it. I got a ferry and arrived in Dover at 10pm.
Unfortunately the last trains for London had already left. But the Dover port authorities said that we could sleep overnight in the terminal if necessary and organised food, blankets etc for us, and first aid for a sick girl. They also shamed Eurostar into sending four coaches to collect us. They arrived at 2am and took us to London St Pancras. Then they realised that I would have quite a journey to South Wales at 4am and sent me home in a taxi! The meter read £539, which they prepaid.
I finally arrived home at 8am this morning. The whole journey took 18 hours. It wasn't quite the relaxing weekend I planned.

To add insult to injury I got an advertising email from Eurostar suggesting that a trip with them would be an ideal Christmas present!

Now I'm going to bed.
Glad to hear you are home safe. Sounds like a horrendous adventure.

Thanks for the kudos. At the moment I must admit I am rather puzzled. I still feel like crud, and would be more than happy to curl up on the couch for several days til this thing runs it's course. But a couple of Chris's siblings seem to be intent on us being there, even though I'm still going to be contagious, and they're calling for a quarter inch of ICE on Thursday. I don't get it.

Thanks! She tells me she is feeling "a little" better. I can't help but wonder if that's not wishful thinking on her part. She's afraid she'll miss out on some of the festivities. They do say that positive thinking helps so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Ravenne, my mom had to 2-day express mail the "Santa" presents from Florida when we became snow bound in Virginia. I have yet to see what the rainbow maker looks like and am chopping at the bit to get a look at it. I usually have a minor run through with all the presents to make sure I have all the batteries we will need but I doubt if I'll get the chance this year. I've stocked up on the common battery sizes but I just know that something will require some obscure battery that we can only get at a specialty store!

Shel, I'm so sorry your sick. There is nothing worse than being sick at the holidays when there is so much going on and you need all of your energy. I hope you are able to get a lot of rest and are back to fighting form soon.

Stay home. Cuddle on the couch, drink hot toddies, or whatever soothes you, and don't feel guilty.

Your health is more important than what others might think you 'should' do.

But....thats just a grandma talking.

Trying to figure out where the battery case of the Pocketbook is, so that I can figure out how to open it and then figure out where the reset button is. User documentation is not this product's forte And I managed to crash it within one hour of opening the box, which is a bit worrying.
