Classics mash-ups you would like to see?

First there was Pride & Prejudice and Zombies. Then Undead Oz with monsters. Now, there is a new release at Fictionwise re-writing Jane Austen's Emma with werewolves. I only attempted to read one of these books, and found it pretty awful. All they did was add a few sentences here and there, which was stupid. It does seem like this has created a new genre though, and it could be fun to try such a project where you really do re-write the whole thing from scratch as opposed to just typing a little here and there into a Project Gutenberg file. So...what new mash-ups would be fun and interesting? I think Wuthering Heights, with vampires, would be awesome. Heathcliff is totally a vampire, and he totally blood-sucked Catherine to death. |

Can't be done because part is still in copyright....but.... Oz vs. Sauron! With Glenda the Good as the witch helping Dorothy destroy the arch enemy of evil Disneycorp, and free Mickey Mouse. Fighting back hordes of unwashed lawyers, and cowering before the Nine Judges..... |

Sherlock Holmes vs. Dracula (Paperback) by Loren Estleman There's an Old Time Radio version, but I'm not sure if it's the same as Estleman's version. It lists John Moffatt and Timothy West under Artist/Composer. David March is Count Dracula. Sherlock Holmes Verses Dracula (free audio download) | |
