Yes, it is disappointing when they are only available in PDF. Usually they offer multiple formats.

I bought a number of books from this site when I first started reading ebooks and I chose PDF because I didn't know any better.

That's what I thought too.
But with a little work with MSExcel and Atlantis I now have an ePub version.

I didn't do much either. An import in Mobipocket Reader, and then some metadatas via Mobi2Mobi.
There's no breakpage before chapters, but I don't have time for that...

Calibre can do it automatically, but Calibre is unstable on my system, so I avoid using it.
Also doing it manually means I can remove all the extraneous stuff (images, dedications, author's next book etc) and get straight into the reading.

I'll do a walkthrough (probably post it in the epub forum), but it's basically an understanding of how Acrobat converts pdfs to txt and knowing how to use various applications to prepare the text.

Incidentally I also had to 'fix' the epub of 'Just Between Friends'. Anyone else find the download was faulty?

is it possible to get a book that was offered a few days ago free? I wanted to download one but it doesnt seem to be free anymore. I did create an account and am getting the newsletter for the current days freebe but I kind of wanted "Cowboy" and I guess I didn't read the post about the 12 days of christmas until after this one had come out.

It may be possible.
The ebooks are supposed to be free only for one day, from what I understand, but I have already been able to get two of them at the same time, after I missed one during the weekend.
You have to try and see if it works.
Remember that you have to click on the "Add to cart" button to check if the price reduction is still active. The list price is not 0.00$ even for the ebook of the day.
