We will have a white Christmas here in the IceBox unless we get a freakish warming trend into the mid sixties starting tomorrow and running through Thursday.

Nope, not happening. Now they are predicting snow starting Wednesday and running through Friday. Yay.

Sunshine with a high of 16C. Tommorrow a high of 18-19 is expected....

But we had an early hard freeze, so no green Christmas....

I tagged along with my nephews being the perrenial teenager that I am and ended up having a gargantuan full-park snowball battle - which I obviously lost being old and decrepit. So there was no snowman, but there was plenty of time for piccies when I had to rest to get my breath back

The first picture is actually the lake with the trees surrounding it

This is why I have to move to Canada or Sweden for REAL snow.

So, even more snow today! After the snow of thursday, friday and saturday... I just managed to turn the car around (so the tail end is towards the door, much easier packing!). It may turn out that they'll have the first white christmas since '89 here, and I won't be home to enjoy it

For the first time since I left home I'm going away for christmas... Result: a white christmas...

-15C, 3 decimeters of snow with more on the way, amd YAY! It will be a white christmas this year.

So, the plan on going out to the "dog-islands" on christmas eve is a go!

The Dog-islands is a lovely dog-park set aside for canines to go nuts and run their butts off and playing around. It's located at Drottningholms Park. Which is the home of the swedish King and Queen. They dedicated a whole section of their park to dogs and opened it to the public after one of their labradors got run over by a car out there.

We ended up getting over 22 inches of snow in Warrenton on Friday and Saturday and have had to cancel our road trip to Florida.

A neighbor's son was going to take care of our dogs for us while we were gone and I didn't want him to deal with them and the 2 feet of snow (we've had to dig out paths in the yard for our little shih-tzus and our sheltie to go potty). Also, because we are slightly rural, our street has yet to be plowed. Hopefully, they will get to it today. We actually had a great time yesterday digging out with the rest of our neighbors and all this snow finally convinced my husband that we need to buy a snow blower (of course, our neighbors were very generous and happy to lend us theirs but I think we've held off long enough). Unfortunately, we weren't as prepared as Mike C. Because we were planning on being in Florida for the week, I hadn't done any grocery shopping. Luckily, a friend from Chicago had sent us Lou Malnati's pizzas as a Christmas gift! Yum! We should be able to get to the grocery store today so at least I'll be able to stock up on the essentials, though I doubt we'll be going farther afield than that.

We're going to get plastered on Christmas Eve and Day, it looks like. And we have to drive up to the kids' for our Christmas.
