OK, we now have word from Bookeen that the firmware update (at least for Opus) will be out by Christmas or at least by the end of the year.

This obviously calls for a new poll!**

A multiple choice this time - so if you want to guess anytime before the end of this year, just check both "Before 25th Dec 2009" and "25th - 31st Dec 2009".

* To cover pedantry, "Never" may be taken as not before 1st Jan 2050.

And hopeless optimist that I am, that's what I've done. In the previous poll I went for the 28th to 31st March 2009 option...

The pessimism? well, they only said "they should" be able to deliver it by Christmas. You, of all people should not take that as a promise!
Anyway, I will believe it when it's out. Anything else is just potential false promise to make a sell...

But they did say that it "will be released before the end of the year".

So - perhaps evens on before Christmas, but a dead cert for before 1st January.

I do not. But i won't said "no they won't release the firmware either.
But bookeen seam to now where they are going now. So if not in 2009, should be sometimes at the start of 2010.

I think it has all ready been released.

It just ran away when they released it and it has never been seen since.
