Don't get me wrong, slugging in this case is equal to plowing through them.

I truly enjoy them and can't wait to check out if his Codex Alera is as good as the Dresden Files.

I just got my new ebook reader yesterday, and it had a preloaded book of Colleen McCullough The Thornbirds... I read this book many years ago, and was so happy to find it on my reader...

CyBook is on the fritz AGAIN, so I'm reduced to reading Le Monde and the New York Times on my iPod I hate having to read newspapers, they're so depressing. And I'm almost finished with the Amos Oz book from the library. Need to get new pbooks tomorrow!

Sweet! Which reader did it come with, if you don't mind me asking?

Just finished reading one of the most intriguingly-titled books of the year: I Am the New Black by Tracy Morgan with Antony Bozza.

Currently reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, seen my niece watching the Disney adaptation and had an urge to read it for some reason. Good so far, wonder how Carroll came up with this stuff

I re-read that book this year in anticipation of Tim Burton's live-action movie version coming out in, I believe, March 2010.

In Burton's upcoming version, the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is the love interest for Alice. Doesn't sound much like the book!

I'm being a glutton for Pratchett. Reading "Eric" and "Going Postal" at the same time. Actually, "Going Postal" is an audiobook.

I'm reading Pratchett's "Unseen Academicals" as my fall-asleep book. A bit different than his other recent books like "Making Money" and "Going Postal", but decent.

In the car I just finished "Her Fearful Symmetry" a interesting ghost story. I have just started "The sweetness at the bottom of the pie" which centers on a precious 11 year old girl in England playing amateur detective after she stumbles over a dead body in her garden. It's full of cultural references which are sometimes interesting and sometimes confusing.

I have "The girl who kicked the hornets nest" waiting as my next audiobook.

I have both a nook and a Kindle. I have loaded a lot of books onto the Kindle from freekindlebooks.com that I read when I was much younger. These books have been converted from the project guttenberg for the Kindle and display very nicely. The series that I am reading right now is of Tom Swift by Victor Appleton. It is an easy and fun read. Anyone recognize the police "TASER"? It came from "Thomas A Swift Electric Rifle". Use just the first letters from the quoted.

Decent? I really enjoyed Unseen Academicals, and didn't notice any drop at all from the usual Pratchett quality.

I'm now in the middle of the Third Pig Detective Agency and loving every sentence of it.

Just finished "Touch the Water, Touch the Wind" by Amos Oz last night. A wonderful book, full of poetry and irony. I gave it back at the library this morning and came back with "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov. Looking forward to read this! All the rest of my reading is stuck on the Cybook, which now won't even start up

I just finished "Away" by Amy Bloom. An okay book, but so depressing that I had to intersperse reading with some of Gerald Durrell's 'Corfu' memoirs.
