The reason I am turned off so much by the kindle was how Amazon handled upgrading their device.

I understand perfectly that a larger device is good for reading various PDF files or image-heavy pages. That, in my opinion, is a weak justification for the lack of convenience like an SD card slot, (To steer myself from sounding biased, the nook uses that pointless MicroSD card format. That is a peeve of the device)

I was also put off by the fact Amazon can take books away Via the whispernet function- Yeah, let a website business sneak in like a nosey cousin and take things you interest in.

I would have gone with the Daily Edition if the nook didn't get announced first, but I was already wanting a device from B&N.

Wow, I managed to disagree with just about everything you wrote.

Actually, transflash is becoming more and more dominant. Cameras are about the only thing that still use full sized SDHC cards anymore. Pointless would have been to use the in between format of Mini SD, which next to nothing utilizes.
Though I do understand and empathize with the frustration of having to re-purchase smaller memory cards for seemingly no good reason.

...Ok, so I sounded stupid there, sue me...

But what I was saying was that if I am still interested in a book, although I've finished it, would removing that book via corporate action be the opposite of customer support?

You didn't. Your concerns and opinions are welcome. Though not everyone may sympathize with your views...

The OP seems to have left the thread and the topic still remains "heated".
