Calibre did not detect correct memory partition for Sony PRS 300
Ok, firstly I am sorry if this had been posted before but I already used the search function to no avail. Maybe it was answered in some unrelated thread...
but anyway... I have a small problem with Calibre. It's not major but just to point it out, maybe I did something wrong or maybe it's a small bug or maybe it's me. I have Sony PRS 300, when I first installed Calibre, I can choose between the 500/505 or the newer ones 300/600. So I choose 300/600 and everything went fine. Unfortunately, Calibre detected the other memory partition of my reader, the one that have Sony ebook Library installation files for Mac and Windows. Of course I received an error when sending the book to my reader. So what I did was, I ran the 'wizard' again and this time I choose 500/505 and walla, Calibre detected my other memory partition where all the books are. But once a while Calibre will still detect the other useless partition. And I ran the wizard again and choose the other one and Calibre detects the correct memory again. This had been going on for a while, on and off. It's not major since it works at the end but it does bugging me a little bit. Why is this happening? Is this normal? Or did I do something wrong? I'm worried if one day none of the memory partition would be detected at all! ![]() Another Q, can I merge these two partitions into one, without having to erased my books in the ereader? Or is this something I'm not able to do forever? Thanks for your help! ![]() |

Odd, run
calibre-debug -d in a terminal and post the output (with your 300 connected). |

Seems to all be in order, but I'll make a small change to the 505/300 driver that should prevent this from ever happening in the next release.
