With Word 2003 and Windows XP and Calibre 0.6, I sometimes get a similar error with my SECOND or THIRD conversion (i.e., individually converting to several formats). The earlier conversion left a Word window open. If I close all Word windows and start Word again (usually with a blank document with the template as well as the document I'm working on (i.e., only two Word windows open), everything works fine. Good luck. Last edited by pyatrus; 12-10-2009 at 01:32 PM. |

Hn... I'm trying to run this, but when I click on the BookCreator_NOIMP.dot, it says that Windows cannot open this file. I'm running Vista.... is there anything else I need to run this?

I don't know the answer to that question but I doubt it works. The tool makes use of VBA and MS word libraries

Just started using Bookcreator and Calibre today and I have one question [for now anyway]. At a high-level, can you explain how one uses both Bookcreator and Calibre to create an eBook library? I thought Calibre could do it all? What function does Bookcreator provide that Calibre does not?

Bookcreator is designed to steam line the book formating process, wher calibe is used more for format shifting book content x to y

For instance if you wher creating a book you would use Bookcreator for adding the Table of content, chapter, italics , tables, image insertions, etc... In the background Bookcreator creates an HTML file and has calibe convret the html to your target format such as epub, imp, mobi, etc ... =X= |
