I wouldn't mind dicussing it more though. Actually, I've been noting my reactions to the more 'frivoulous' avatars of the past days that I've used. I don't think my posting has been significally different, but I have actually felt different when seeing my words in context with quite different avatar images that I would usually use.

I'm just keeping my eye(s) on things...

I definitely think that the avatar gives a look at a persons personality, either through a glimpse of something that they like or enjoy, or in a more indirect manner by seeing something that they want to project. Ok, sure that might be reading too much into some, if not most, of them but it is fun to think about sometimes

In most cases it can be the avatar that makes me click on their name to view their profile.

For my own I wanted to give people an idea of who I am and what I like.

I actually dont like either of them as Marvin, although I guess the more recent one, to me, is a better fit.

You know, in the books, Marvin's steel leg become one of the pillars of the trophy - that just doesn't fit with movie-version Marvin. That nagged me - but he does look properly depressed - not a bad design overall

Never depressed!! I was going more for the geek, with a sense of humor impression, however I'll take the brain the size of planet as well.
