Now, isn't that clear enough?
I can understand why American Football would be confusing to Europeans since I have NO idea what they are talking about when they discuss Cricket and soccer.

We signed Ryleigh up for soccer one year and it was a fiasco. She would get mad when the other kids would steal the ball away from her and have a temper tantrum in the middle of the field (she was 5). When I asked her if she wanted me to sign her up again, she told me NO!! I was so glad.

Patricia, my brother coaches for the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have done poorly in the last few years and were kind of considered the joke of the League. Luckily, they are doing much better this year which was a great surprise to everyone. My nephew coaches for the New Orleans Saints who are undefeated this year and have a really good chance of winning the Superbowl to end up as League champs for the year. Of course, others here have their favorite teams, like the Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears or even the (gag. . .gag. . .sorry, ) Washington Redskins (my husband's favorite team and my least liked team ), for whom they cheer each weekend. Hope that clarifies things even more.

I have two favorite teams. The Bengals and whomever is playing Pittsburgh. Although, when Pitsburgh is playing Baltimore, it's tough...

Thanks. I'd heard the name, but was unaware that the two were connected.

That's pretty much how I feel about the Redskins. When I lived in Maryland during the '80's, the Redskins were pretty good. Since they played that stupid "Hail to the Redskins" song everytime the team made a touchdown, it got stuck in my head. Thankfully, they aren't all the good this year so I don't have to hear it very often.

Unhappily, I still know all the words to the song. My husband thinks it's hilarious!!

Actually, there are now female Masons - I don't think very many, most still just join the Eastern Star, but they do exist.

Yes, except you forgot the Cubbies.

I will never forget the SuperBowl Shuffle as long as my mortal body lives in this realm. I think it got played every 5 minutes on TV during my freshman year of high school. For me, those players are frozen in time. if they have new players on that team now, I have no idea.

we could debate this until the cows come home. what you are referring to is a small organization in Britain which is not recognized by any of the other Masonic organizations.

trust me... she wasn't a Mason

Yep, you're right - I listened to someone who I thought was close enough to the subject to know what they were talking about rather than checking it out myself!

And mine needs a new part. It's not clear whether the manufacturer still makes it. I should know tomorrow. Meanwhile, I hate washing in tepid water.

Well, turned out that the guy who was out servicing our heater a couple of weeks ago fucked up. Somehow he managed to make one of the cable-connections be close enough to the metal of the frame for the heater so that everytime the heater started, the vibrations made the cable touch the frame, and *POOF*

Farking morons!
