I use the Gimp on windows too ... works just as well as the linux version and has never, ever crashed on me in Windows either

I never liked gimp. I just can't get it to do what I want it to do.

I'll stick with my PSP.

Wait what I thought you couldn't run a windows machine for more than an hour or so without is crashing with a BSOD.

Well, at least if you talk to some Mac/Linux zelots that's what they will tell you. I think perhaps a lot of them are still living in 1995 though.

Photoshop for $200! I paid £150 just for an upgrade. Standalone prices is around £350 and for the Creative Suite you're talking £1,500. In the us, I believe Photoshop CS4 retails at around $600-700

The best free alternative is The Gimp. I use it roughly 50% of the time on everything.

Yeah, The Gimp, started out as a photshop alternativ for *nix, but is available in Windows version as well now adays.

I like it quite alot and use it most of the time. Especially since I do a bit of gfx-stuff at work and I can run it of a USB-stick with portable apps.
