Kyoto is worth a vist, especially this month. The leaves around the temples are all turning to red and yellow. We took a long walk along the mountain on the east side of the city yesterday, strolling through Kiyomisudera Temple, Ryozen Kannon, Yasaka shrine, and Maruyama Koen, with a brief stop in a lovely little tea house along the way. Please do come. We'll be happy to show you around! I'd like to return to Palau Tioman island off the coast of Malaysia. We've spent several months there over the years but haven't been back in almost 10 years. It's a very tiny little island, and the location shoot site for the "Bali Hai" scenes from 'South Pacific.' It really is a tropical paradise! Or at least it was... These days they probably even have electricity! Stitchawl |

OOh, I agree with just about every place Iʻve never been. But topping my list: Norway Oz New Zealand Thailand Japan return to Germany And.... Chicago for the summer!! I havenʻt seen family in a while and thatʻs my main focus right now. Who wants to bankroll me and a few kids the flights over? They seem to be running around 800-1200 round trip. |

Maybe I can narrow it down a bit Vietnam - because I would love to do some cooking classes there Chile & Argentinia - because I heard so much about it Southern Part of South Africa - I sooo would love to see the animals in their habits (haven't decided which of the countries yet, although South Africa most likely as I could get hubby there to 'watch some rugby' ) Antarctica - before it becomes an even bigger rubbish dump |
