Just caught the end of a radio prog about our police forces using psychics (one force spent £25,000 on them apparently) .

Currently Googling to see if any psychics predicted at the end of 2008 what would happen in 2009 - not found any successes so far.

I wouldn't waste that time if I were you - you won't find any. There is a very simple reason for this - they're all charlatans!

Here in the UK, one of these leechers off other people's misery is called Derek Accorah. Just a few weeks after Michael Jackson's death he held a seance where he apparently 'channelled' the spirit of Michael Jackson! What amazes me is not so much that he had the nerve to pull such a stunt (he and his like are unrepentent, uncaring, ghoulish opportunists after all), but that the TV network actually allowed it to air

I only caught the end of the radio show by accident - I was waiting for a thrilling one to start about listeners' feedback on the past week's BBC radio output.
It's just finished, and I still have adrenaline coursing through my system.

Just popped two lasagnas in the oven, one ricotta-spinach, the other "Mexican". Before that I baked 3 apple pies, 4 pumpkin pies and a ginormous batch of beer onion soup. Oh, and French toasts for my bf's lunch. I'm beat, but I can't wait to have dinner!

5 pounds of thinly sliced onions slowly caramelized in 1/3 cup butter, add 1 500ml can of Guinness (or other dark beer) and 6 cups beef (or veggie) stock. Pepper, thyme and oregano, if you feel like it, but it's not necessary. Let simmer an hour minimum, without a lid. Wonderful as is, even better when you top your bowl with a slice of bread covered with melted cheese.
(thanks for asking, I'm a sucker for recipe sharing!)

I'm trying to use up the leftovers in the fridge before I leave for Atlanta on Tuesday, so for supper I had a big bowl of black-eyed peas and a smaller bowl of collards. Plus I made a test batch of coquitos last night so I need to use that up also.

Trying to stave off an attack of the giggles.

I knew that writing 'christian fiction' about two teens struggling with church teachings and sexuality (and without a heavy dose of morals every chapter) was likely to get me some issues with the fundie religious types. And I think it's started. Thankfully, so far I'm just amused.

PS. I'm looking forward to that story, MoeJoe!
