London taxi drivers are still required to ask their passengers if they have smallpox or the plague;
Chelsea pensioners may not be impersonated, on pain of death;

well that just seems like good hygiene to me. how would you like to catch smallpox or the plague from a taxi, because the driver didn't ask the previous passenger ??

It's just a conversation starter; it doesn't mean they have to refuse to take them where they want to go.

note to self : possibly best to avoid london taxis. (disappointing, since they are so stylie. on the other hand, i haven't been to london in about 16 or 17 years i think, so it won't be a great loss).

In New Jersey, atheists cannot be adoptive parents:

U.S. Constitution supersedes state constitutions, so I don't know how the Judge is actually getting away with this one.

Hopefully this will go up to the Supreme Court, even though it shouldn't go that far.

Lying and staying child-free are both fun pastimes (as is being an Atheist)

Also I think the no-trouser rule should extend to all four sexes...again as a fun pastime
