Ireland are currently 1 - 0 up against France in Paris (1 -1 on aggregate).

well, i'm still thinking it's probably Ottawa, but i guess there might be a few algerians in with the canadians.

the difference is slight. usually you can tell if it's a riot because of the rubbish bins that have been set on fire.

i'm waiting for the post to deliver the extra heater i ordered online. the temperature has really dropped off ; it's far too cold in there right now.

No, you're not confused - the finals do happen every four years - but qualifying takes a couple of years beforehand - so there's not much respite.

And then there are the European Football Championships two years after the World Cup - with more qualifiers for that. Actually, it never stops and there's no respite ever. (Except maybe for France who might have next summer free .)
