Target for PRS -505 - $70 - Page 3

I checked one of the two Target stores in Ft. Wayne, IN and they had one left in a beatup taped up box, and they were selling it at the wonderfully low price of $279! I asked them if they were going to mark it down and they told me that they couldn't unless the okay came from the corporate... "Unless the computers tell me I can, I can't" was essentially what they were telling me.

On Thursday, I went to one of our local Targets and bought 2 lighted covers at $16.24 each. I went back on Sunday to get one more as a gift but they were all gone. We happened to be at a different Target in the area nd they had one lighted cover left but were still charging $32.48. We got it anyway since it is as a gift but I was really tempted to take it back to the first store and do the return/rebuy thing but I didn't have time and then there is the thought that they may decide to not resell it to me for the cheaper price.

Does the light fit the PRS-500 too, or only the PRS-505?

Th lightwedge cover is only for the 505.

Target in Madison, WI, was listed as "limited availability" in the inventory checker, so I called them. No matter how many times/ways I described what I was looking for, the clerk who answered said, "I honestly have *no* idea what you're talking about." xD

On a hunch, I went anyways - they had one left for $239, so I snagged it. They had a *lot* of covers on clearance for $16-something, too. I was at the East Target, it's quite possible the West one still has a reader too...
