Yes, I've seen those designed for cellphone screens, and it works rather well. The same method would work for PDAs and larger-screened smartphones. Dedicated readers could possibly have some way to stack or tile the panels in order, to take advantage of the extra real estate.

Ummm, this is from like 2 years ago... In Interwebs time, that is like "forever and ever". Most likely they arent around anymore or have changed domainname or something.
