I never got so much use from a single image! Perhaps I should go pester people on a vegetarian forum... the awareness must spread!

I think Verencat and Kindlekitten need to change places! One of them is south of Vancouver (where it rains all winter) an the other is in the middle of "My country is Winter" where it never stops snowing all winter!

Me, I'd take Montreal any time.

I had a huge check from working so many hours the last few weeks. So, this morning after I checked the bank balance (we direct deposit), I splurged on six new books!

Good for you Shel.....I'm still holding out on the new John Irving, hoping the ebook price will drop....looks like they dropped it a couple of bucks to $12.38....still....

Some of you may remember me posting on another thread about my husbands latest bout with the dreaded "C".

Its his 4th fight. He's down to one lung, and that one decided to become a liability. He's no longer a candidate for surgery, so we tried something they call "radio surgery" 5000 rads of radiation, evenly spread out over 5 treatments.

Its been just over one month now since his last treatment, and he's back to normal. The worst side effect was fatigue....just could not concentrate on anything, and slept a LOT.

But, right now, he's doing the driving again, taking an interest in things around here, and able to sit at a restaurant to eat.....our favorite activity.

We have to wait until the end of January for another pt/ct scan to see just how well the treatments burned out the tumor. The docs gave it a 90% chance at the beginning, so we've our fingers crossed.

I marvel at this man I married. I doubt I would have the courage to fight as hard as he has......so if you have loved ones, or have to fight this battle your self, take heart

You can do it.
