it should be! I used to race to morning formation with my boots undone, all awkward hopping about to avoid the laces! so I really was lacing up my boots and marching on!

NaNoWriMo = National (misnomer really, it's international) Novel Writing Month - the idea is to write a 50000+ word novel in November. You can work out the plot etc in advance, but you don't start writing the story until the 1st of November.

It's a competition against yourself. To get you to write. And you get the support of others in your region, as well.

Have a look at www.nanowrimo.org. It's basically part target, part motivation and part support structure to get people writing.

And it looks like a period when large tracts of the Ministry of Unutterable Silliness will be hitting their keyboards with something other than tea, and probably spending less time posting....

no sympathy. when I was in CA I didn't have internet at home. Mondays were always EXTREMELY demanding!
