I think it's the first: Man-oo. He worked at Bilson's, but now has his own restaurant, L'etoile, but, to undermine the sophistication, Noah (the 4yo) knows him from Ready Steady Cook and to a lesser extent his appearance on Masterchef. The boy loves his cooking shows (though, it's probably relevant that his father, my brother-out-law, is/was a French chef himself ).

Right now I'm printing a portfolio to submit for a painting show. I'm definitely getting better at that printing stuff: I haven't broken into hysterics yet, and I'm not even considering throwing the printer down the window. That's a nice change after about 5 or 7 years of hell. Probably means I'll have to get a new printer soon so that I can start the whole cycle again

good luck ! with everything. you have my deepest sympathies about printing, i've been there. in fact it's precisely why i gave up on a paper portfolio and only maintain my website now.

I couldn't believe the NFL sent two teams to England who were so completely unmatched. I felt so bad for Tampa Bay. I remember plenty of years when my brother's team (and even my dad's when he was coaching high school football) were racking up more games in the loss column than the win column.

My fingers are crossed for good luck for the painting show! I've also had those times when I've been on the phone with HP for hours trying to get my printer to work, so I'll keep mu fingers crossed for you there, as well.

The teacher dress code in the schools where I work/worked has always been "Business casual". That's great for administration, but try wearing nice clothes when doing hands-on art or science activities with 6 year olds. I had a perfect pair of black slacks that I loved and which were promptly christened with a 6 year old red hand print during a language arts activity. Considering how little teachers are paid, the least they could do is let us wear close that are comfortable and workable.
