The site without flash is: www.theEZreader.com/html If you use that you will not see any flash. I appreciate very much the comments on music. Frankly, I hate music on a website also. I have recommended to the "Porn Music Master" to lose the music. Let us all hope he follows thru. There has been a ton of negative feedback on the Flash and I am also recommending that they lose the Flash and just get back to normal and easy-to-navigate website. They have to make the final decision but we have heard you and the recommendation is in. Thank you for posting! We DO monitor all the comments and we are not like our competition which is larger than us and may not listen quite as readily. We DO try to always listen.

I'd like to see a mock up of the EZ Readers where you can upload a file to see what it will look like.

Interesting idea...I can't think of any device maker which currently offers this sort of preview, but I would think there has to be someone. but maybe not yet. It's seems like a good idea, at least on a quick glance.

I don't get it. I just got a message on Facebook that I need 1 more of my friends to join up to be able to win anything? I didn't see anything about that when I entered the contest. Sure you CAN invite friends but it didn't say anything that you HAD to have friends join to be eligible did it?

I am sorry if our people who put the contest together caused confusion. They do not all speak perfect English... although most do. I went and checked this out for you! NO!! You do not have to sign up or get a friend to sign up or anything like that. They suggest it and hope you will do so. YOU WILL be entered into the contest just as well as anybody who did even if you did not do the friend thing. Your entry will not be withdrawn or invalidated!! Not a problem. This is another case where I need to check their English before they post rules or procedures to assure a human being can understand. As most of the devices are made in China and Taiwan... it is imperative that we have Mandarin-speakers on our staff. They are wonderful people... but perfect English is not always a gift. Please bear with me on this!

You gotta understand that being led to Facebook with no explanation might have lost you at least one potential customer (and, of course, I can only speak for myself). I really like the look and layout of the EZReader. I have nothing against Amazon (I buy the majority of my DVDs there), but all that Kindle button clutter just doesn't appeal. However, until I decided to glean info from this thread today, I was harboring strong displeasure for Astak's sneaky "Facebook contest". And with the Nook's arrival, I now have another option - with a dictionary, even. Of course, while the Nook has no "button clutter", it does have that touch screen in the same area (is it going to light up every time I accidentally touch it like the notebook touchpads always used to do?) So, yes, I'd say someone needs to keep an eye on your marketeers' clever ideas, and providing a quicker response when an error has been made would do wonders as well. Although I didn't look at this thread until today, it still would have been nice if I had seen that the next day you had talked to your folk and relieved the confusion. Of course, we won't know for sure until we find out that at least one of the winners didn't sign up on Facebook. Some folk here give it the "hey, its nothing to bust your spleen over" treatment, but it's not much different than the old (illegal here in Washington) bait and switch sales technique that we all know and love. Sorry to be a poopy-head, but at least I am now back to considering Astak and wanted you to know I won't be sending my free EZTouch back when it arrives.
