Not quite. "Soon" means mañana, but without the same sense of urgency.

I insist that we French have a same definition of soon than you.

But "soon" in corporate talk is an other matter... Then quite a few of you seams to have problem with translating corporate talk..

I'd rather refer to the Arabic "boukra" which literally means "tomorrow", but is generally used as "soon, honestly!" or "I'll try within the next few days" or "forget it, if I don't intend to do it today, I won't do it anyway!".

I propose a new word: Neekoob - Meaning soon in geologic terms. The North American plate will neekoob (soon) collide with the African plate. The Gen III firmware update will appear neekoob. The sun will neekoob burn out.
