Hrmm.. interesting.

I wonder if extreme temperatures would have this effect.

Such as leaving it in the car in summer heat, or perhaps taking it from a heated room directly to leaving in in the car overnight in the cold.

I'll be keeping mine in normal temperature conditions, whenever possible.

My black replacement came - Its all charged and looks perfect. I notice that it has the rubber coating, though it appears to be less pronounced than the blue one.

I'll let you know if there develops any problems...

How long since you send your PP until you got this new one? (Because i want to know average time you need to wait since Astak receives the unit and send you one)

I would estimate 2 weeks.

The problem I ran into was that they sold out of the Black Pocket Pro's so I had to wait for the new shipment (which might have been a good thing). This added 3 or 4 days to my wait.

One week to travel from Australia to US and one week to get replacement unit. Postage was refunded when Astak received the unit in US.

According to the owner, this is a replacement device still from the first batch.

OH SADNESS OF ALL SADNESSES...

My beloved PEZ is beginning to wrinkle in the top right and bottom right corners!

Should I take the case apart and prime/paint a new coat?

Should I return again?

I know that these corners were barely even touched by me. I normally hold the device with my left hand, and the 2 buttons on the left side, where my thumb constantly rests, is showing no signs of warping.

The bubbling must have happened today, in the last hour or three. No idea what atmospheric situations have caused it. I have been inside the office all day, a very comfortable 73 degrees.

Hrmmm.

Ouch! That's a bummer, however I would return it rather than dismantle it.

I agree.. Two weeks without your reader is the downside...but if you keep it I would not take it apart. Whenever I take something apart and then put it back together I always wind up with extra pieces left over
