Hey! What's the most RECENT ebook you bought?

I just now bought "Shantaram," by David Gregory Roberts, available from Amazon. This is a HUGE adventure novel that will soon be released as a movie. I refuse to read it, though, until I finish "Lords of Discipline," by Pat Conroy. |

"Zombie Raccoons and Killer Bunnies" - a compilation of SS with alien/possessed/zombie animals as the protagonist - couldn't resist the title. Everything from Super Squirrels to alien bats. Fun fast read.

Man this place makes me feel boring. I just bought Rapt by Winnifred Gallagher (I'm obsessed with consciousness) and - God, this is embarrassing - Mackenzie Phillips's memoir High on Arrival. So far its really terrible and I deserve that.

Most recently I bought _Flashforward_ the MRBC book selection for October. My next purchase will probably be _Gibraltar Stars_ cause I read the first two so long again and can't wait to see how it ends. Then, I will probably buy _The Pillars of the Earth_ FTW. BOb |

Today I purchased The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett for the Barnes & Noble eReader (for PC). It's my first experience with both Pratchett and the B&N eReader. Several folks here at MobileRead Forms had suggested Pratchett to me as a writer very much in the vein of the late Douglas Adams. It was wayspooled who suggested The Color of Magic.

Hrmm, I bought a few but my mind is drawing a blank. I know I bought "Guinea Pig Diaries" by A.J. Jacobs, "A Wicked Lord at the Wedding" by Jillian Hunter...Oh and I got that Women Sleuth's bundle (great deal, 3 books for $6!), oh and "The Earl Claims his Wife" by Cathy Maxwell. I feel like there was something else... I also (at the same time) got some books from MR, but since I didn't buy them I won't post them here |

I just bought the new book by Audrey Niffenegger. I was waiting for it to hit the best-seller list so I could get 100% rebate on it at Fictionwise |

Ten Little New Yorkers by Kinky Friedman. I've got 10 or so of the Kinkster's earlier novels to read before I get to that one. Unfortunately most are only available as tree-books. I'm currently reading Greenwich Killing Time. |

Having previously read 'Refuge', I recently downloaded everything else from Richard Herley's site. I made a donation for them so I guess that could count as a purchase. |

I have read Black Titan - The story of A.G Gaston in teh last week. Fantastic biography of one of America's first Black millionaires. Its set against teh backdrop of much of America's modern History - WW1 & 2, The civil rights movement etc. Fascinating book with many great business and life lessons. I also read The Dark Tide by Andrew Gross who is one of James Pattersons regular co-authors. it's very much along pattersons lines - a rip-roaring roller coaster of a thriller. Well written and compelling stuff, although, will I remember it in six months? Probably not. Good read though, especially for 10$! |
