I got one!

Well, I took the plunge and bought one.
After striking out at the Micro Center, I made it over to the local Sony Store and picked up a reader. I must say the screen is much nicer than I had expected. The demo models don't look so good after being handled by lots of people.

I'm sure I'll have loads of questions as I mess with this puppy...I'll be sure to bug all of you as I go along.

One quick question...what did you do with all this sample content? It looks like there are a few full books that come preinstalled? Apart from 1984, are the other full titles any good?

Yay! I hope you like it.

Many/most of the sample content is not a full book. What I did is create a category for PreInstalled Books and put them all there in my desktop software, then deleted them all on my Reader because I didn't plan to read them right away. Well, except for the Star Trek Vanguard book that I keep on the device and read.

I had some full titles preinstalled

One of them was the full novel by Rollins. This turned me onto other titles by him. I bouth the Collins (Rollins) titles from Connect.

Are you listening, Sony?

Don't worry too much about saving the stuff on the Reader as all of the full and part books are also on the disk that comes with the software.

You can move files from the reader to the connect software book library.

I deleted the books Sony put on there. Only thing I did keep on there were the instructions on how to use the thing..... even know I think I could remove it. As far as that goes I find it easier to find the info reading it in the Connect program.

Enjoy the Reader.

Exactly the same as me, even though I have not bothered to read the manual and learned everything from this site. Not sure why I kept it on the reader.
