Actually FB2 and Wolf files are displayed as title on the first line with author on the second line. They really need to extend that functionality but the design is there. But you are correct that none of the other formats do that.

Note that the display of 8 entries per page is only because you select the entry using the 8 keys on the keyboard, 9 and 0 reserved to move through the pages. You can have a lot more than 8 folders in a level and move between the pages. Perhaps everyone knows this but I didn't want anyone to be confused and thing that 8 was a hard limit.

Right! However, I would love the ability to choose a few options in the settings. Choose from 8, 12, 16 or 20 folders/books listed would be excellent. Also, a menu font size option.

I would like to be able to change the menu font size and even the system font size (give up the two line description for bigger fonts). However, if you could display 12, 16, or 20 entries, how would you choose? There are not enough buttons without resorting to a totally different user interface.

Agreed. On of my major niggles is the tiny font of the menus. The selection interface could make use of the hyperlink as it does with table of contents etc. by using the arrow keys to select and the Okay button to go. But as you say the UI/Navigation would change.

And I wish you could make the font smaller so you can fit more text on a line....

Hmm, I'd say the menu font is perfectly sized.

I'm talking about the menu that comes up in the lower left when you press the "Okay/Selection" button. Is that what you mean as well? If so your eyes are a ton better than mine.

So you probably use the small font as well on the main display. I need both my glasses and a magnifying glass for that.

There is a small font on the main display?

I create my own epubs with a custom font loaded (embedded) and I use a font size one above minimum. The minimum is just a tad too small... (and one step larger is actually a tad too big, but there's no step in between )

Yep, I'm with you on the font steps. Could use one in-between (when I have my glasses on )

Here's what i would do.

When you in the menu, and have to make a choice on folders and files, and you choose to have , say, 20 listed per page, I would have the little box come up at the bottom, the same box where you punch in what page you want to go to.

So you turn on the machine, or go to the main menu, and you see 20 folders and a little box at the bottom of the screen, you simply type '15' <OK>, and you go into the 15th folder. From there, the same thing. The search box is already open and waiting for you to type in "7" <OK> and go into the seventh book listed, and begin reading.

It's much better than only have 8 options. The only reason they did that was because they had 10 numbered buttons with 2 of them mapped to Pg Fwd and Pg Bck. In my opinion, they should have disabled 9 and 0 as Pg buttons when in the menu, this way they could have added 2 more folders/books per page.

Yes that could work but requires more key presses. Using your example it takes three presses to select 15. For the current system you would press 0 to get to the next page and then 7, only 2 presses.

The 9 and 0 are useful when you have multiple pages of choices. For your case of 20 on the same page, how would you get to the 21st?

There is the Next and Prev buttons located on the left side of the PEZ.

Also, yes, there may be a couple more key-presses in this example, but you do not have to wait for the page to refresh. Lets say you wanted book 56 in a folder.

Youd have to hit NEXT PAGE 6 times (to show 49-56), then '8' to get your book.
7 keypresses, and 7 page refreshes to get your book opened

With 20, you hit NEXT PAGE 2 times (to show 40-60), then "16" <OK> to get your book.
5 keypresses, and 3 page refreshes to get your book.

I think this is right.

Actually, it isn't as bad as that. Holding the next or previous page button down for a long time move 10 pages forward or back, even in folder view. In folder view I usually use this to go from the first page to the last.
