(for the record, rain dogs happens to be one of my all-time favourite tom waits songs / albums).

He is. He took a bit getting used to at first but there was one song in particular (I forget which) that had my jaw dropping to the floor and now I really like him. And all cuz of ewe.

EDIT: Spent the last hour trying to find the song that dropped my jaw: Old '55. And also Shore Leave.

really ?? wow ! i'm so happy to know i introduced someone else to tom waits ! i love shore leave too. swordfishtrombones is one of my top 3 favourite albums (with rain dogs, and Nighthawks at the diner, because it's a concert album and in between songs he tells stories. i swear i could listen to that man talk all night).

Going off to the dentist to get a wisdom tooth extracted. It cracked at about 5am... I must be grinding my teeth in my sleep

Anyhoo, it needed to come out, I'd been procrastinating... it's just more urgent now. Sigh. Probably get a lecture from dentist too. Meh. Least it'll be gone I guess.

I'm out dead heading plants and filling the pond. Even though it's a little cool, I'm going to sit out and read before I have to put on a jacket.

The weather change from over 100F last weekend to 60-70F this weekend is a bit cold for me. I'm a warm weather gal.

I had to have a tooth pulled a couple of months ago. Since it had already had a root canal many years ago, it was extremely brittle and broke apart during the extraction causing all kinds of problems. Now, I have to go on Thursday to start the implanting procedure that required them to insert a titanium screw in my jawbone. I keep telling everyone I'm getting screwed on Thursday.

My brother asked me why the hubby and I schedule it so far in advance.

You gotta love little brothers. They're so irreverant (well, at least MINE is).
