I loved it, but I've sort of got an interest in Louis IV stuff. Also, it's a girly book, no wonder you are not captivated by it. Like I said, I loved it.

Yep. I think you've nailed it.

I was a bit hesitant based on the reviews, but it was a Nebula winner and free so.... unless it picks up soon though...

I also just finished Homer and Langley by E.L. Doctorow and enjoyed reading about these two eccentric brothers. At the beginning of the book I noticed that the spoken dialog did not have quotation marks around it and I thought the publisher screwed up the ePub file. However, after checking the first few pages that were available for viewing at Amazon, I learned it was Doctorow's style to not use quotation marks. Doctorow's articulate writing also helped expand my limited vocabulary as I had to look up about two dozen unfamiliar words.

Okay so I dropped The Moon and the Sun -- it just wasn't doing it for me and am now reading "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" by Carson McCullers which I'm loving....

Well up to his usual high standard but with a few twists. I would rate it as 4 star (out of 5). A very good read.
One of my favourite authors!

Just blazed throughThe Lost Symbol. Great read although the ending was a bit,um, undramatic. Still, it was a page turner and the ending may have been that way because his next book will pick up where this one left off.

Just finished "The Palmyra Impact" by our member Boydm (Boyd Morrison for those who are new here )
I couldn't put it down, so I finished it at 9AM (read it all night through !)
The small chapters and the suspense made it for me a great page-turner ! (It reminded me of Jurassic Park for this !)
Now I have "The Ark" that's awaiting me !

Rachel Maddow called it, "The only book of the last few years in American publishing that I would describe as a mandatory must-read. Literally the only one."

Yes. Amazon has it for $9.99 for the Kindle. There are probably other stores and other formats as well.
