I vote for red. My red 600 arrived yesterday, it's lovely. I liked the black too, so it was difficult to decide, but in the end I decided for a touch of colour. And it is indeed a very nice shade of red, burgundy but a bit more blue in it than in the 505.

I just bought a silver prs 600. Red looks beautiful but I'm not really a red kind of person, and I already have a Rose prs 300 so figured I go with classy basic this time and since I wanted to buy it in a real store and not online I had to go by silver since that was the only color they sold.

No certainly it does not Have you tried the silver 505?

Silver is the most elegant and discreet of the three colours, and since it matches the screen background so well, the device itself glides into the background and leave the words for the reader.

I bought a black one and I regret it: awful finger-prints all over the frame!

If I could decide now which one I should buy I'd take the silver one because of that fact.

Yes, mine is silver but sometimes, with too much artificial light (or maybe the artificial light I have on my nightstand at the moment ), I find it glaring. It's the loveliest, though, above all with the green cover!

Good choice on the red! Mine is red too. At first I was afraid the red would be too bright and attract too much attention, from both observers and myself, but it turn out the red is a matt kind of red, very beautiful. Not reflective at all, but yet chic looking. When I read with it, I don't find myself distracted by the colour at all, Dan Brown and Tom Clancy still got my attention the whole time. Recently, I've added a Wrapsol protector to my 600 and now, it looks even more matt. A very nice and different matt red color that I've never seen in any other red devices.

I dared not venture for a black one as I own a glossy black Asus netbook, and I spent alot of time wiping finger prints and white specks of dust from it. In the end I got a silicon case to enclose the whole thing and my problem is gone. For those who got the black 600, and is affected by the finger print marks on it, you may want to consider the Wrapsol protector.

Interestingly, when I bought my 600 from the local Sony store (on Aug 28th, the week it became available in my town), they said that all they could sell was the black. Apparently the day they'd gotten them in they were notified not to sell the red or silver, but they also weren't told to send them back. The sales guy didn't know why, he said. It actually made me leery purchasing the black a bit, in case there was a problem. My boss's boss at work went into the same store last week and got the silver for his wife. Anyone else hear anything like that?

Almost didn't get the red because of the what Sony did to the red on the 300, but took a chance and the 600's red looks nice.

I just bought the red PRS-600 and I love, love, love it! It reminds me of a candy apple red that you used to see on sports cars. I do not find it distracting when I am reading. It frames the words and almost disappears as I read. I also bought the red cover to protect it, even though it comes with a sleeve.

I wanted Red, but I settled for Silver, because it was all they had.

Good choice on the Red.

I have the red 600 and I'm just loving it. As someone said before, it looks very chic.

Although, if they had a green 600, I would've bought that in a heart-beat.

How did the Wrapsol affect the screen? Does it make it less reflective? Is the text still sharp and crisp?

I didn't get to choose,Sony chose for me when they sent the black one as replacement for my 700,but luckily,it is in fact the color that I would have chosen had I bought it for myself. I'm not necessarily a fan of having the colorful devices,I prefer the more understated approach (I also consider black/silver to be more professional-and less likely to stand out if ..say..I were trying to read at work)-also I prefer getting a variety of cases instead ...any excuse to shop !!!
